of karmiel in western galilee. the village is called majd-elkrum which means in arabic

the glory of vieyards . it indicates that many vineyards, figs and olie trees were raised

in this area. the population of the village are about 8000 people, all of them are moslems

they earn their living by different labour works in haifa and karmiel area. the local

council was found in 1964, it consists of 12 members headed by muhamed manna, befor

that dat, there used to be a man who is called the mukhtar [respected personality] who

was responsible for managing the village.
